The legendary International Hotel in Las Vegas, which opened in 1969 as the world's largest hotel, is known today as the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. The property’s history is a map of corporate acquisitions: it was sold to Hilton Hotels in 1970 and became the Las Vegas Hilton in 1971, which is where it gained its greatest fame as the residency home for Elvis Presley. In 2012, after Hilton ended its licensing agreement, the property was briefly rebranded as the Las Vegas Hotel & Casino (LVH). Finally, in 2014, Westgate Resorts purchased the property and transformed it into the Westgate Las Vegas. In 2026, it remains a landmark destination located next to the Las Vegas Convention Center, still featuring the famous "Elvis Suite" and one of the largest "SuperBook" sportsbooks in Nevada, successfully preserving its legacy as the city's first true "megaresort."
