What will replace the Top Thrill Dragster?

SANDUSKY, Ohio — Cedar Point on Tuesday unveiled its newest version of a fan-favorite ride — one that is said to be the world's tallest and fastest triple-launch “strata coaster.” The Top Thrill 2 will make its debut during the summer season in 2024, replacing the Top Thrill Dragster which closed in August 2021.

Zamperla, which was named as the renovating manufacturer, will reuse the existing 420-foot (130 m) hill and add an equally-sized vertical spike at the opposite end of the track. While the height and maximum speed will remain the same, the track length will be increased to 3,422 feet (1,043 m).
