Where are water fountains in Disney World?

I spoke with a Cast Member who said that usually the drinking fountains are located outside most restrooms. You can use your My Disney Experience App to help map you to those restrooms once inside the park. In addition, most quick-service locations will have water dispensers at the beverage island or condiment station.

Near the front of the park, you can find a self-serve fountain in the Connections Eatery (where there is also a filler), or in the Land Pavilion at Sunshine Seasons. It's not a Quick Service, but we've occasionally seen guests fill water bottles at Club Cool.

The two water parks differ in their ownership, but the major difference between Typhoon Lagoon and Volcano Bay is the attractions. Volcano Bay, which is a Universal park, favors more thrilling attractions, with several large water slides. Typhoon Lagoon in Disney World is geared more toward a relaxing experience.

There are a few restrictions on what you can bring into the parks, including glass bottles, but you shouldn't have any problem with your stainless steel cup (which will keep your water nice and cold!). In fact, most counter-service locations offer complimentary ice water upon request!

You most certainly can drink from the water fountains and from the tap. In fact many people bring in water bottles and keep refilling their bottles to stay hydrated. We did that and didn't get sick in fact the people who worked at Disney said it's perfectly safe to drink the water there.

The water fountains in the theme parks do have filtered water, but a downfall is that it's not always very cold...and cold water is often a welcomed relief on a hot day! But you can always stop by any of the Quick-Service dining locations throughout the theme parks for a complimentary cup of ice and cold water!

If you check the Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules page, you will find that coolers, with or without wheels, have to be no larger than 24 long x 15 wide x 18 high (61 cm x 38 cm x 46 cm). Stay inside that guideline, and you should be good to go!

Castaway Creek is the lazy river at Typhoon Lagoon. It's a 21.5 (roughly) minute float that takes you around the Surf Pool, with entries at major spots throughout the park. It's not a particularly well-themed or interesting lazy river, but the plants and greenery throughout are quite nice.
