Where do I put my phone in the Blue Lagoon?

How long should I plan for the Blue Lagoon? Depending on whether or not you want to dine at the Blue Lagoon and how many spa treatments you want to experience, you should stay for between two and four hours. There is actually a luxurious hotel onsite too, so it is possible to stay overnight to truly indulge.

Typically, guests enjoy the water for two hours. After soaking in the mineral-rich warmth, people generally seek nourishment by snacking at Blue Café or dining at Lava Restaurant. In total, on average, visitors spend four hours at Blue Lagoon Iceland.

Do you shower after the Blue Lagoon? Yes, you should shower before and after your stay at the lagoon. Guests are required to shower, without their swimsuit, prior to using the geothermal spa. Simply use the showers and soaps available in the changing rooms.

Make sure you go for a wander too, there are hot spots around the lagoon where the water will be much warmer than other parts which is just what you want in a storm. The fun doesn't end in the lagoon either, for further sheltering from the storm I recommend The Lava Restaurant.

Use of Blue Lagoon skin care shower gel and hair conditioner is complimentary. If you desire more privacy while you shower, locate a shower that is equipped with a door. Can I bring my own towels? We recommend that you remove any jewelry (rings, necklaces, bracelets, etc.) before entering the lagoon. This will ensure that you don't lose your items and that they don't get damaged by geothermal seawater which has high levels of silica, algae, and minerals.

There are instructions on the locker door as well. It is recommended that you leave all your jewelry and watches in the locker and the water might cause some damage to them. After having fun with the locker, you will need to shower before going into the lagoon. It is compulsory to shower and wash with soap.
