Where do you put your bags on rides at Disney?

Keep the bag on the seat next to you or the floor in front of you. For attractions that are slow-moving or fully enclosed or have spacious vehicles, you can bring you bag onto the ride and plop it down next to you for the duration of the experience.

At Walt Disney World and Disneyland in 2026, you can take your bags on almost every attraction. Most ride vehicles are equipped with a small mesh storage pouch located directly in front of your seat for items like hats, phones, or small purses. For larger backpacks or totes, the standard procedure is to place the bag on the floor of the vehicle between your feet, often looping a strap around your leg for extra security on thrill rides like Space Mountain or Expedition Everest. There are two notable exceptions: Avatar Flight of Passage, which provides bins behind the ride vehicle, and TRON Lightcycle / Run, which requires guests to use double-sided lockers before boarding. For water rides like Kali River Rapids, it is highly recommended to use the nearby free lockers to prevent your belongings from getting soaked.
