It depends which trains and what times you are looking at - Eurostar is very expensive in times of high demand because the cheap tickets get snapped up but can be relatively affordable if you choose less popular times. The fastest route is to take the Eurostar from London St Pancras International Railway Station then change in Paris to catch one of the many high speed TGV trains to Turin and Milan in northern Italy. For instance, you could catch the 10.22am Eurostar and reach Turin at 9.18pm and Milan at 10.07pm.

The block time for the flight (gate to gate) is around 1 hour and 15 minutes, however, the actual flight time is usually less than 45 minutes. This beats out both the train and bus comfortably, but do remember the time needed to move from the city center to the airport as well.
