Where is the largest ice castle?

The SnowCastle of Kemi (Finnish: Kemin lumilinna) is the biggest snow fort in the world. It is rebuilt every winter with a different architecture in Kemi, Finland. In 1996 the first snow castle drew 300,000 visitors. For several years the snowcastle was located in the Kemi city harbor.

There are currently 5 Ice Castles locations, all in the United States. Those include Midway, Utah; Lake George, New York, New Brighton, Minnesota; Lake Geneva, Wisconsin; and North Woodstock, New Hampshire. In previous seasons, there have been six Ice Castles locations.

You may stay as long as you'd like in the venue, as we do not limit the amount of time spent enjoying Ice Castles. Typically guests spend about 30 minutes to an hour. There is no re-entry allowed once you have exited the experience.

Will there be a restroom at Ice Castles? Each Ice Castles location is equipped with portable restroom facilities just outside of the entrance/exit to Ice Castles. If you need to exit the Castle briefly to use the restroom, please notify a crew member so they know to let you back in when you return.

It is an experience for life to spend a night in a cold room here! I would recommend it to all my friends. The tour of the hotel to watch all the beautiful ice sculptures is great. Be prepared that you will keep your clothes in a locker while you accomodate the cold room.
