Where is the Mattel theme park being built?

Set to open just south of State Farm Stadium in Glendale at VAI Resort, Mattel Adventure Park will welcome guests 365 days a year, serving as a year-round Arizona entertainment destination showcasing the full spectrum of the iconic toymaker's expansive portfolio of brands.

There are currently two Mattel Adventure Parks in development. The first is located in Glendale, Arizona, as part of the VAI Resort; it is a high-fidelity indoor/outdoor park featuring a Barbie Beach House, Hot Wheels roller coasters, and a Thomas & Friends themed area. The second location was recently announced for Bonner Springs, Kansas (near Kansas City), with a planned opening in 2026. Both parks are designed to be "all-weather" destinations, utilizing indoor climate control to handle the extreme heat of Arizona or the winters of Kansas. The Kansas City park will mirror many of the Glendale attractions, including the Hot Wheels Twin Mill Racer and the Hot Wheels Bone Shaker coasters. These parks represent Mattel's "High-Fidelity" push into location-based entertainment, allowing fans to interact with iconic brands like Masters of the Universe (featuring a Castle Grayskull laser tag arena) and a larger-than-life UNO climbing structure.
