From 2 November 2021 Velocity members are able to redeem points for flights across the Virgin Atlantic network. Note that the routes operated by Virgin Atlantic may be subject to COVID-19 restrictions, and not all flights will have Reward Seats available.

In standard season, you'll need as little as 18,000 points for an Economy Classic return flight, and in peak season you'll need from 22,000 points. And if you are a Gold member you can use your Gold Reward Seat benefit to book revenue seats when there is no reward availability, by spending double the usual points.
Yes, from the 5th of September 2023 you can transfer your points to another Virgin Red account holder. Whether you want to combine points to spend on a holiday* or are feeling generous and want to help a loved one unlock a reward, points can be transferred to another Virgin Red member for a flat transaction fee.
As a Flying Club member, you can exchange your Virgin Points into IHG® Rewards Priority Club Points. Points are transferred at a rate of 1 for 1, and there is a minimum transfer level of 10,000 points, followed by increments of 5,000 points.
Velocity Points will expire after 24 months of inactivity, defined as not earning any new points or redeeming existing points within a 24-month-long period.
Unlike Flying Club Miles, Virgin Points will never expire. This means you have as much time as you need to redeem your Virgin Points, which have exactly the same value as miles. So no matter what life throws at you, your points are yours to use now or in the future.
