Which beach is cheapest in Phuket?

Karon and Kamala beaches, respectively immediately south and north of Patong, are significantly cheaper. Rawai Beach in the far south of the island is also a budget-friendly part of Phuket.

While "cheap" is subjective, Rawai Beach and Nai Yang Beach are consistently the most budget-friendly options in Phuket. Unlike the tourist-heavy Patong or Kata, Rawai is a working beach where locals keep their boats, meaning the surrounding seafood markets and restaurants offer much lower prices than the high-end resorts further north. Accommodation in the Rawai area tends to be more "long-term stay" oriented and affordable. Nai Yang, located near the airport, is part of a national park; it remains quiet, lacks the expensive "beach club" vibe, and offers street food stalls where you can eat for just a few dollars. If you stay away from the main west coast "resort strips" and head toward the local hubs, your money will go significantly further in terms of both food and lodging.
