Which day to visit Universal?

As you can guess if Saturday and Monday tend to be the busiest, Tuesday tends to be the best day to visit Universal Studios Orlando. We also find Thursday to be one of the least busy days of the week at Universal Studios, with Sunday being a great weekend option.

For a visit to Universal Orlando in 2026, the "best" day depends on whether you are visiting the legacy parks or the new Epic Universe. For Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, midweek (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) remains the gold standard for the lowest crowds, as most tourists visit at the start of their week. However, a unique dynamic has emerged for Epic Universe: because single-day tickets are most expensive on weekends, Sundays have statistically seen lower wait times than weekdays as budget-conscious travelers flock to the park on cheaper Tuesdays and Thursdays. Generally, avoid Saturdays and any major holidays or school break periods. If you are a guest at a Universal Premier Resort, your "Unlimited Express Pass" benefit makes any day manageable, but for those without it, Tuesday is typically the best bet for the legacy parks.

We've visited many times in summer and noticed crowds do seem to thin out a bit in the evening as people are going to dinner, leaving with little ones or leaving to change and come back for clubbing. We're not early birds, so we tend to arrive around 11 or 12 and stay until closing.
