Which Disneyland Hotel has best access to the park?
Luckily, both the Disneyland Hotel and Disney's Grand Californian are within easy walking distance of the two parks at Disneyland. Disney's Grand Californian is, however, closer to both parks.
To enter Disney California Adventure Park, Guests staying at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa can enter through the hotel's entry gate, and Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel Guests can use a walkway across the street from their hotel.
I didn't feel like I had to maximize my time in the park and push through being tired or in pain because I could take a break whenever I wanted; the room is just 10 minutes away! If you're debating it, and you have the extra money, definitely stay onsite. I won't ever stay off-site at a Disney resort ever again.

Of the three on-site hotels at Disneyland, Disney's Grand Californian Resort and Spa is the most opulent and offers the shortest walk to the theme parks. In fact, there's a hotel guest-only entrance right into Disney California Adventure (better known as DCA) at the hotel.

Disneyland is great for kids over the age of 7.So if you have 4 kids, 2 of which are under 7, you may have to watch which rides you can do. For my family, this meant that my oldest two (ages 9 and 10) could ride rides together while an adult rode with the younger kids (ages 2, 4, and 6).
On your own, there's no need to rush from ride to ride. You can truly treat Disneyland as a park. It's a sensation I encourage every fan to experience. Today, alone is often my preferred way to visit the park.
