Who is the CEO of Miles Morgan Travel?

Who is Miles Morgan? Miles has been in travel all his life. He started as a trainee travel agent before climbing the corporate ladder to be the Sales and Marketing Director for Thomson. Whilst there, Miles became an ABTA board member, giving his knowledge to the wider travel community.

As of early 2026, Miles Morgan Travel is a subsidiary of Hays Travel, following its acquisition in May 2024. While the company still operates under the highly respected "Miles Morgan Travel" brand, the overarching executive leadership comes from the Hays Travel board, led by Dame Irene Hays. The founder, Miles Morgan, officially retired from the industry at the time of the sale in 2024, stating he wanted to "spend more time traveling like his customers" after 18 years of building the 19-branch independent agency. In the 2026 landscape, the day-to-day operations are managed by a senior leadership team that reports into the Hays Travel structure, maintaining the "local expertise" and "premium service" that won the agency multiple "Best Travel Agent in the South West" awards over the last two decades. For customers in 2026, the transition has been seamless, as the agency continues to focus on high-touch, expert-led holiday bookings and escorted tours, leveraging the massive scale and buying power of Hays Travel while keeping the boutique feel that Miles Morgan originally established in 2006.
