Disney has a standard safety policy to close water parks when the high temperature is forecast to be below 70°F. For 2026 visitors, the "silver lining" is that Disney has announced that starting May 12, 2026, both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon will operate simultaneously for the first time in several years, providing double the capacity for the busy summer season as the resort moves away from its alternating schedule.
