The Details. According to Disneyland, the attraction will remain closed through October 26, 2023, and reopen October 27, 2023. In past Halloween seasons, the park added a “Ghost Galaxy” holiday overlay, which added video projections of spinning nebulas and a fiery space demon to the pitch black indoor coaster.

Space Mountain has systems in place that require each train to be unloaded and reloaded in 20 seconds. If this time frame isn't met the ride shuts down.
