Will I get wet at DisneySea?

Some attractions designed so that guests are doused with water during the experience. Depending on the attraction, this could range from a small splash to having water dumped on you, and the experience may vary from ride to ride. Read the attraction details for more information.

It's a theme park based around the Sea, but it's not a beach. There are some rides in which you might get splashed (ie Storm Rider), but casual clothing is fine. If it's a nice day, you'll dry off quickly. No need to bring swim wear.

You do get wet, but it's not from water splashing into the log—you get wet because they deliberately spray you with water at the bottom of the drop. And it's not just a refreshing splash of water, you get ridiculously, ringing wet.

The only thing you should be aware of is that the shoes (and your swimsuit) should have no exposed metal parts such as protruding zippers or rivets. Metal is not allowed on the slides to protect their surface. Wearing water shoes at the water parks is a very smart idea.

You're going to get wet. The ride has hidden sprinklers that add water to make the splash more dramatic. Some people say they turn the sprinklers down during colder weather, but that won't keep you dry. You will get wetter if you sit in the front rows than if you sit in the back.

For Splash, just take thin flip flops in a backpack, change shoes in line, put the sneaks and socks into a backpack, then change back after riding. If your entire group will each have their own backpack, perhaps one of you will have a lot less room than others and can dedicate that bag to store the shoes in.

If you're wondering what sets it apart from its sibling, the easy answer is that it's a little more geared towards teens and adults as rides tend to be more thrilling, and there's booze served at some places!

DisneySea can be tackled in one day but by far the best way to experience it is with two days. Definitely arrive early, around 30-45min before park opening so you can get the first FastPasses and get in line for popular attractions before they get too long.

What should I wear to a waterpark? It's best to wear a swimsuit or swim trunks to a waterpark. You can also wear a cover-up or shorts and a t-shirt over your swimsuit for added comfort.

We've been to a few water parks, and some provide towels while others do not. And the ones that do often give you towels that are too small, and limit you to one per person. So, we always bring along a few beach towels. When the water fun is done, you'll want to get back into dry clothes.

BUY FOOD BEFORE ENTERING Both Disney Parks allow you to bring food and drinks. If you want to save money, go to a local convenience or grocery store and pick up some snacks and beverages to last the day. Bringing your own food saves you time too as you will not have to wait in any lines.
