The ASLEF union of train drivers has announced that its members will strike over pay on Thursday 5 January 2023, joining their RMT counterparts in undertaking industrial action in the first week of the new year and leaving rail commuters stranded for five consecutive days.
When are the rail and train strikes in February 2023? National rail have confirmed strikes for Wednesday 1st February and Friday 3rd which will most likely cause disruption for three to four days.
RMT members have now complete four days of all-out strike action, on Tuesday 3-Wednesday 4 and Friday 6-Saturday 7 January. Aslef's members held industrial on Thursday 5 January, staging a 24-hour walkout.
All strike action planned for December 13,14, 16 and 17 will go ahead as planned, as well as further strike action from 6pm on Christmas Eve to 6am to 27 December. The new strike dates have been announced for the remainder of the year.
Commuters will be hit by another round of strikes this week as the dispute between rail workers and train operating companies over pay, jobs and working conditions continues.
in NOVEMBER 2023On Saturday November 11th the workers of the Italo railway company are on strike for 8 hours from 9am to 5pm. Airport handling operators will abstain from work on Friday November 24th. On Sunday 26 November, the Trenord teams are in union agitation for 23 hours from 03 AM until 02 AM on November 27th.
There are a range of strikes already confirmed for January 2023, with a five-day period of rail walkouts and the resumption of NHS strikes involving ambulance workers and nurses. Train workers at 15 operators with the Aslef union to stage a 24-hour walkout.
When are the train strikes in October 2023? Train drivers represented by Aslef are striking on Wednesday, October 4. There will be almost no services operating on the day and services on days either side of the strike are likely to be affected too. In addition, there is a ban on overtime from October 2 to 6.
