This is very much an interim fireworks show, and not a fully-fledged nighttime spectacular. EPCOT Forever is definitely worth watching–the pyro is fantastic–but there's no need to put in a ton of effort or overthink your viewing location.

We recommend catching the fireworks at Magic Kingdom, with Epcot's fireworks coming in 2nd.
We enjoyed it a lot more than anticipated. It's just a fireworks show, but it's a pretty good one. There is really no need to stake out a spot as you can view it from pretty much anywhere around the lagoon. We appreciated the nods to old school Epcot in the music.
The final two “taco” barges have been removed from World Showcase Lagoon, signaling the end of Harmonious at EPCOT. Harmonious was originally designed to be a long-term replacement for Illuminations, but the unsightly hardware for the show proved to be its downfall.
The EPCOT fireworks showtime is usually 9:00pm, every night. Epcot Forever is a temporary show, they run it while they are doing lagoon work so it's short and to the point.
EPCOT Forever has been running as the nighttime fireworks spectacular and we're excited to say that the brand-new show – Luminous – The Symphony of Us – will begin on December 5, 2023!
Is Epcot fun? For the right visitor, yes. If you're into rides more than general theme park merriment and atmosphere, we suggest skipping Epcot, as it doesn't offer as many thrills. However, families, foodies and world's fair enthusiasts will likely enjoy their time at this concept park.
Walt Disney World Epcot – Best for Ages 8 to 14It's a great theme park for intellectually curious kids (and adults) but not the best for little kids under the age of 8. Older kids will enjoy some of the major thrill rides (like Test Track and Mission: SPACE) and may really enjoy World Showcase.
EPCOT is arguably the least family-friendly park at Walt Disney World, so you may not need more than a few hours to do everything of interest if you have small children. With that said, a full day at EPCOT is highly recommended for first-timers.
Epcot may not reach capacity as often as Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom, but some days are still better than others. For the shortest waits at Epcot, aim to visit: Tuesdays and Wednesdays (top pick) Mondays and Thursdays (second best, however Thursday evenings can sometimes be a little rowdy)
Suffice to say, EPCOT attendance increases throughout the day because more people arrive than leave, and wait times remain fairly steady for a lot of attractions. From a strategic perspective, the best time to do EPCOT is before noon, not in the afternoon or at night.
There is typically an hour between when the park closes and the event starts. Fireworks start at 9 p.m. and day guests can enter a ride up until 9 p.m., so there will still be some longer ride lines and crowds until the day guests are fully filtered out.
Will there be fireworks if it rains? Almost always, that answer is “yes.” Unlike at Disneyland where nighttime fireworks are often cancelled due to wind, fireworks and nighttime entertainment is typically not cancelled at Walt Disney World.
Epcot Forever is definitely less of a production than both IllumiNations and Harmonious, but as always fireworks shows at Disney tug at your heartstrings and are really a perfect ending to any park day.
Best EPCOT Fireworks Viewing Location. The best place to be for any presentation on World Showcase Lagoon is in a seat on the lakeside veranda of the La Cantina de San Angel in Mexico. Come early (at least 90 minutes before Harmonious) and relax with a cold drink or snack while you wait for the show.
