If you just have a small purse or bag, some of the rides will have a pouch or place to put that while you ride. Sometimes there are cubbies or shelves to place your bags as well. If you have large items, I recommend getting a locker. Locker Rentals are available in a variety of sizes and prices.
As many have answered above, some rides you can not have any loose items including a shoulder bag. There are lockers provided, which are free for a couple of hours, but mind you they are quite small, a typical cubicle, so I recommend bringing only a small bag.
