Can I use my Railcard on the date of expiry? Yes. Your Railcard is valid up until and including the date shown on your Railcard.
Do they check Railcard on trains?
Yes. You must show your valid Railcard when you buy your ticket. You also need to have your Railcard with you on each journey and present it to staff when your ticket is checked aboard the train.
What happens if you forget to use Railcard?
If you have forgotten your Railcard you may be asked to purchase another ticket. The conditions of travel state that the Railcard must be carried by the customer in order for the ticket to be valid.

Yes. You can buy or renew your 1-year 16-25 Railcard up to and including the day before your 26th birthday and keep using it until its expiry date. With 3-year 16-25 Railcards you can buy them up until the day before your 24th birthday, which will make the expiry date the day before your 27th birthday.
Can I renew my senior railcard after it has expired?
You can renew your Senior Railcard bought online within 30 days of its expiry to a digital or a plastic Railcard.
Can I get a refund on an unused Railcard?
A: No. Unfortunately once a Railcard has been issued it is non-refundable.
Can you use a Railcard after 25?
You can buy or renew your 1-year 16-25 Railcard up to and including the day before your 26th birthday and keep using it until its expiry date. With 3-year 16-25 Railcards you can buy them up until the day before your 24th birthday, which will make the expiry date the day before your 27th birthday.

You can buy Network Railcard discounted tickets for travel any time on weekends and public holidays or from 10:00am Monday to Friday. You may be able to start your journey a little earlier than 10:00am, see the time restriction easements section for details or check at your local station.
Can one person travel on a Two Together Railcard?
Can I use the Two Together Railcard when I am travelling on my own? No. The Railcard is for use by you and the second named adult on your Railcard when you are travelling together. The two named cardholders must travel together for the entire journey for their discounted tickets to be valid.
Is it cheaper to use a Railcard?

Can tourists use Railcard?
You don't need to live in Britain or be a UK citizen to be eligible. However, they can only be posted to UK addresses. Buy in person at a staffed railway station (each railcard is different, so it is best to check beforehand with Railcard Help to see if there are any documents that you will need to bring with you).
Can you use Railcard after 30?
No. You will not be able to renew a Railcard if its date of issue is after your 31st birthday. However, you can still buy another 26-30 Railcard by setting up another account using an alternative address and making your purchase just before your 31st birthday.
