Can you bring phones on rides at Volcano Bay?

“Are phones allowed on the rides?” Helpful? No you cant.

Generally, no, you cannot bring phones on most rides at Universal’s Volcano Bay. For safety reasons, especially on high-speed body slides like the Krakatau Aqua Coaster or the Ko’okiri Body Plunge, loose items are strictly prohibited as they can become dangerous projectiles or get lost in the water systems. Some travelers use waterproof phone pouches on lanyards, but lifeguards will often require you to tuck them inside your swimwear or leave them with a non-rider. For raft rides, you may occasionally be allowed to keep a phone tucked away in a zippered pocket, but it is at your own risk. In 2026, most guests use the TapuTapu wearable for virtual queuing and payments, allowing them to leave their phones safely in a locker or at their lounge chair to enjoy the water park "hands-free."
