Can you go to Disney Fort Wilderness without staying there?

The large parking lot at the Outpost is for checking in, and for guests who are not staying there but visiting recreation and dining activities. You'll use your car to get to things outside of Fort Wilderness, rather than around it. With that in mind, there are different ways to get around.

The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is my family's favorite place to stay when we visit the Walt Disney World Resort. Even our dogs love it there! Fort Wilderness is such a nice place to stay on DIsney property! First off its cheaper than most other disney resorts and if you have fur babies its the only one you can take them. They have alot of cool amenities, they have an awesome sing along with chip and dale and a disney movie every night.

Basic Laws of Navigation in Fort Wilderness You can no longer drive your car around to explore (and there's no place to park anyway), the trams are gone, and the train has long, long vanished (sad face). So your options for moving about are: golf cart (best option!) – rent or bring your own.

Unfortunately, guests will not have access to the pools at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. The list of activities at Fort Wilderness is pretty long, one of my Mouseketeers is obsessed with the Campfires and S'mores. Some nights there are even Movies Under the Stars.
