The answer is “it depends.” That's because you can only hop to a park that hasn't yet reached capacity. If a park is at its full capacity, you cannot park hop there. The good news is that there's a way to check if a park is at full capacity BEFORE you make the trip to it.

AFAIK, there is no penalty for missing a reservation. So if you can't make it on the first night, you can still make a new reservation for the other day.
