Can you transfer Disneyland tickets through the app?

You can either print out the barcode for the ticket and QR code for the theme park reservation and hand over these hard copies to your friend to take with them to the gate, or they can simply link the ticket within their own account in the Disneyland Mobile App.

To reassign a theme park ticket to another user, you will go to the “My Reservations” section of your My Disney Experience account, select the ticket you wish to reassign, and select “Reassign Ticket” and proceed through the process. From there, you are ready!

You can check your My Disney Experience Account to verify that you can move your Theme Park Ticket start date. After logging into your My Disney Experience Account, select the tickets that you would like to edit and choose the “Change” option. You are then able to modify your ticket start dates.

Once your friend is in your Friends & Family List, you can link your friend's ticket by typing in the ticket's 12-digit ID number using the My Disney Experience linking tool or the My Disney Experience mobile app.

To do this, download and log in to the Disneyland app. From there you will click on the three lines on the bottom right corner of the app and then click on Ticket and Passes. Here you can add the rest of your family's tickets to your account. I will note that it is okay to have tickets on more than one account.

I'm happy to let you know that you do not need to worry about the name on your ticket matching your ID, unless that ticket is a special ticket, like the Military Promotional Park Hopper Ticket. Those tickets must be scanned for the first time with a valid ID.

There are some park tickets that do require identification when you scan in through the Main Entrance Gates while others do not. If you have regular single-day or multi-day One Park Per Day and Park Hopper tickets, you will not be asked for ID.

Some promotional tickets, including discounted tickets for eligible active and retired military personnel, have certain ID requirements. Even with those, ID is more for purposes of eligibility verification than name matching.
