Technically, yes, you can walk the Cliffs of Moher for free, but you must avoid the official Visitor Centre and its associated car park. The cliffs themselves are a natural landscape, and the Cliffs of Moher Coastal Walk is a public trail that runs from the village of Doolin to the north or Liscannor to the south. If you park in either of those villages and hike in, there is no admission fee to see the cliffs. However, if you drive to the main "official" entrance, you will be charged a "visitor fee" (currently roughly €10–€15 per person in 2026), which includes parking, access to the Visitor Centre, the secure paved viewing areas, and the toilets. To walk for free, many savvy travelers park at "Guérin’s Path" (a private farm for a small €5 fee) or take the local Bus Éireann 350 to a nearby trailhead. While the hike is free and offers better views than the main platforms, it is a strenuous 20km round trip and can be dangerous in high winds.
