Do you have to be 18 to book a holiday with jet2?

Making a Booking. You must be aged 18 years or over to make a booking with us. The person making the booking is classed as the “lead name” in any booking which includes more than one person.

Yes, you must be at least 18 years old to be the "lead name" on a booking with Jet2.com or Jet2holidays. The lead passenger is the person who enters into the legal contract with the airline and is responsible for making all payments and receiving all official correspondence. While individuals under the age of 18 can certainly travel on a Jet2 holiday, they must be part of a booking made by an adult. Furthermore, if the lead passenger is booking for a group that includes minors, they are essentially acting as the guarantor for those individuals' compliance with the airline's terms and conditions. If a group of teenagers aged 16 or 17 wishes to travel alone, they can often do so on Jet2 flights (depending on the destination's laws), but the actual booking must still be processed and "authorized" by a parent or guardian who is 18 or older. This policy ensures that there is a legally responsible adult who can handle any issues, such as flight delays, medical emergencies, or changes to the itinerary that may occur during the trip.
