Does Disney sell lost and found items?

Disney cast members commented on the post revealing that before stuff is donated to charity, there are sales where staff can grab a bargain from the lost and found.

Disney does not directly sell lost and found items to the general public through its own retail stores; however, it has a long-standing partnership to clear out unclaimed goods. After the mandatory holding period—which is typically 30 days for high-value items like phones and jewelry, and 7 to 14 days for lower-value items like hats or umbrellas—unclaimed items are donated in bulk. Specifically, Disneyland Resort in California donates its unclaimed items to Goodwill of Orange County, which then resells them in its thrift stores to fund community programs. Walt Disney World in Florida has similar donation pipelines. Occasionally, "Cast Member only" sales are held behind the scenes where employees can purchase unclaimed items at a significant discount, but for the general tourist, the only way to "buy" a lost Disney item is to visit a local charity shop where the donations eventually end up.
