What happens if you lose something at Disneyland?

Report Lost and Unclaimed Items Once you've reported a lost or unclaimed item, you'll receive an email notification from Chargerback with your lost item report number. Chargerback will provide information from your report to the Disneyland Resort so that we can look for your item and return it to you if it is found.

If you lose an item at Disneyland Resort, the recovery process is highly digitized and efficient. Disney utilizes a system called Chargerback to track and return lost belongings. Your first step should be to visit the official Disneyland website or app and fill out a "Lost and Found" report with a detailed description of the item, the date it was lost, and your contact information. If you are still in the park, you can visit the main Lost and Found station located near the main entrance (on the left side as you exit Disneyland Park). For high-value items like cell phones or wallets, Disney cast members often perform an immediate search of the area where the item was reported missing. Once an item is found and matched to your report, Disney will notify you via email and provide options for either in-person pickup or shipping the item back to your home (usually at the owner's expense). In 2026, with the high volume of "MagicBands" and "Stanley cups" being left behind, Disney encourages guests to place a small sticker with their name or phone number on their belongings to significantly speed up the identification and return process.
