Does Disney send you wristbands?

Those who reside in the United States and staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel can purchase MagicBands via the Disney World website and have them shipped their homes prior to their travel, assuming that the reservation is made at least ten days prior to check-in.

In 2026, Disney no longer sends complimentary MagicBands to guests as a standard part of their vacation package. For many years, Disney provided these colorful wristbands for free to resort guests, but the policy shifted to encourage the use of the MagicMobile service on smartphones or the reuse of older bands. If you want a new wristband, specifically the advanced MagicBand+, you must purchase it separately either through the "My Disney Experience" app at a discounted pre-arrival price or at full retail price once you arrive at the parks. These bands are then linked to your account and function as your park ticket, room key, and payment method. While Disney will ship these purchased bands to U.S. addresses if ordered at least 11 days in advance, international guests must typically pick them up at their resort front desk upon arrival. The modern MagicBand+ features interactive lights and vibrations that react to shows and park statues, making them a popular optional upgrade for the tech-savvy traveler.
