Appropriate behavior and supervision are the responsibility of the parent/guardian and is always expected. In addition to our chaperone policy, we strongly recommend that minors (under 18) be accompanied by an adult. The park does not assume any responsibility or liability for unattended minors.

Yes, in 2026, Kings Island enforces a strict Chaperone Policy to ensure a safe and family-friendly environment for all guests. The policy requires all guests aged 15 years old or younger to be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old to be admitted to, or remain in, the park after 4:00 PM (or earlier if deemed necessary by management). The chaperone must present a valid government-issued photo ID at the entrance and must accompany the minor group throughout the duration of their visit; the policy explicitly states that chaperones cannot simply "drop off" the minors. Furthermore, one chaperone can accompany no more than ten minors. This policy was implemented across many Cedar Fair and Six Flags parks to curb disruptive behavior and ensure that young visitors are under the direct supervision of a responsible adult. If a minor is found in the park without their chaperone after the designated time, they may be subject to removal, and the chaperone may also face park-wide bans if they are found to be non-compliant.
