Since Disney wanted to keep it family-friendly, Cosmic Rewind isn't as fast as the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster or the TRON coaster, both reaching speeds of around 60 mph. It's faster than Space Mountain which tops out at 27 mph, but it doesn't quite feel as fast as Slinky Dog Dash which reaches 40 mph.
Tall Heights In Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic RewindCosmic Rewind may be too scary for kids who do not like heights or the feeling of being far up. This one is a little harder to explain, but the coaster track has the vehicles flying through space, and you do feel like you are in a spaceship surrounded by the stars.
Built on the former Tower of Terror, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! is the same high-intensity thrill ride as before. What is very different, however, are the visual and audio effects.
There are some small pops of airtime, that butterflies-in-your-stomach, out-of-your-seat sensation. But they are not especially intense. There are also a few elements that deliver positive G-forces, the feeling of being pinned to the seat. Again, these forces are not particularly extreme.
The whole on-board ride experience takes just under 3 minutes. That potentially gives Guardians an hourly capacity of around 2,000 riders per hour (if everything goes right), which is better than average for a ride of this type.
