To add your SwissPass to the SBB Mobile app in 2026, you must first ensure you have a registered SwissPass.ch account linked to your physical card or customer number. Open the SBB Mobile app and log in using your SwissPass credentials. Navigate to the "Tickets & Travelcards" tab (often found at the bottom of the screen). Once logged in, your active travelcards (like the Half Fare Travelcard or GA) should automatically sync. To activate the "Mobile" version for inspections, tap on the "SwissPass Mobile" option and follow the prompts to "Activate." During ticket checks, you simply tap the SwissPass icon in the app to display a QR code and your photo. This digital version is legally valid for all Swiss public transport; however, the SBB recommends keeping your phone charged, as you can still be fined if you cannot produce the digital code due to a dead battery and do not have your physical card as a backup.
