How do I get global status at Hyatt?

With 60 qualifying nights or 100,000 Base Points or 20 meetings or events in a calendar year, you'll receive Globalist status and benefits.

To achieve the elite Globalist status in the World of Hyatt program in 2026, you must meet specific "Tier-Qualifying" requirements within a single calendar year. The most common path is staying 60 Tier-Qualifying Nights at participating Hyatt hotels or SLR (Small Luxury Hotels) properties. Alternatively, you can earn the status by earning 100,000 Base Points (which equates to spending $20,000 on eligible room rates and spend) or by holding 20 qualifying meetings/events. Globalist is the highest tier in the program and offers exceptional perks such as room upgrades (including standard suites), access to the Club Lounge or free breakfast, waived resort fees on all stays, and "Guest of Honor" benefits, which allow you to share your elite perks with friends or family on award stays. For 2026 travelers, a "shortcut" often exists through the World of Hyatt Business Credit Card, which grants 5 qualifying night credits for every $10,000 spent, helping to bridge the gap toward that 60-night goal. Once earned, the status is valid for the remainder of the current year, the entire following year, and through February of the year thereafter.
