TfGM may charge a passenger with an incomplete journey fare if they touched in, but did not touch out, to mark the end of their journey with Metrolink.
If you don't pay within 21 days, Metrolink will start legal proceedings to recover the money you owe and the amount due will increase. Please wait 24 hours after receiving the notice before paying the penalty fare.

If you fail to touch-out at your destination stop, with the same card or device, we won't know what journey(s) you made: your journey will be incomplete (you have up to 2 hours to complete a single journey)
