The ride is described as a high speed roller coaster but it is nothing more than a Spider Man/transformers 3D, clone with the exception of one point where you do a rapid, albeit, short acceleration to about 25mph (sooooo high speed).

It was designed to be less intense (read: less nauseating) and therefore more appealing to families, with fewer height, weight, and size restrictions. The restraints are similar to the Mummy's, with bars across your lap and shins, but slightly more restrictive.
On a thrill scale of 0 to 10 (with 0 being wimpy and10 being yikes!), Gringotts rates at a 4, mostly for its mild coaster thrills, but also for its dark themes, loud noises, and special effects. For comparison, Pirates of the Caribbean gets a 2, and Revenge of the Mummy scores a 6.5 on the same scale.
Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts is a 3D motion simulator ride that includes short roller coaster sequences. The carts mildly spin between screens, as well. *Spoiler alert: There is a small drop at the beginning, but you can't see how far down it goes, which could trigger motion sickness.
Those that trigger the most motion sickness are unfortunately the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride (because of the pitching and rolling) and the Revenge of the Mummy ride (which involves moving forward and backward).
Despite pre-ride warnings about high-speed thrills, Escape from Gringotts is a family coaster that most visitors, other than those with excessive scaredy-cat tendencies, should be able to tolerate and enjoy. It is most certainly not too scary for children.
But Harry Potter and the Escape From Gringotts is overall a fairly tame ride. For example, there are no inversions (in other words, it will not turn you upside down), so you don't need to worry about suddenly finding yourself hanging in some uncomfortable positions.
#1 – Jurassic World VelociCoasterYou can feel the rush of the hunt of this ride as you become the main course for velociraptors as you race through their enclosure. The Jurassic World VelociCoaster is the scariest ride in Universal Studios Orlando and will make your heart pound as you make your way through.
One of my favorites at Universal. The queue is amazing, and the ride is so thrilling. I love that this is a mix of a coaster but has various other effects as well. Even non-Harry Potter fans can appreciate this ride.
Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure features seven launches, the most of any roller coaster in the world when it opened, and reaches a maximum speed of 50 mph (80 km/h). It is also features a free-fall vertical drop element, which plunges riders nearly 17 feet.
The concept is an expanded version of the Jaws miniature attraction featured in the Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood in California. In 2012, the attraction was removed from the Florida theme park to make room for the second phase of expansion for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
While there are dozens of dips, turns climbs and drops during the ride, there are probably hundreds of one-liners and visual puns. Like the show on which it's based, The Simpsons Ride definitely has an edge, and operates on several levels.
Yes you can walk through without riding. There is so much to see and do in both parks for Harry Potter. They have so many little shops you can go in and check out what they have especially if you want to buy a wand. The only problem we had was a friend of mine could not get on the rides because she was a little to big.
Your Complete Guide to Doctor Doom's FearfallThey're part of a fear inducing and gut dropping thrill ride that sends riders 185 feet soaring into the air and back down to the earth again.
