How intense is the Millennium Falcon ride?

Not the best run, not the worst. Riding the Falcon isn't as bumpy as Star Tours, but it is still a motion simulator. If you're prone to motion sickness you may want to ask for the engineer position. I was told by friends that it was the position least likely to experience any motion sickness, and they were right.

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, located in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney Parks, is a moderate-intensity flight simulator ride. In 2026, it is generally considered less intense than "Star Tours" but more active than a standard theater-style simulator. The intensity comes from its six-degree-of-freedom motion base, which tilts, pitches, and vibrates in synchronization with the massive 4K visual screen. If your "pilots" (two of the six riders) are particularly unskilled and crash into spires or asteroids, the cockpit will tilt and jolt quite sharply. However, there are no "drops" like a roller coaster, and the ride does not flip upside down. For those prone to motion sickness, the ride can be a challenge because of the "visual-vestibular mismatch" (your eyes see movement that your inner ear feels differently). The most intense aspect for many is actually the interactive pressure; since you have a "job" (Pilot, Gunner, or Engineer), the stress of performing your tasks while the cabin lights flash and alarms sound adds a layer of psychological intensity. Overall, it is a family-friendly thrill that is suitable for most guests who meet the 38-inch height requirement.
