How intense is the Tron ride?

It feels fast, but smoother than Big Thunder and Space Mountain. Tron is definitely not a family coaster. It has a height restriction of 48 first of all, and the launch is as intense as many extreme coasters. Seven Dwarfs and Slinky Dog are family coasters.

TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom is a high-speed, launched steel roller coaster that emphasizes sensation and visuals over extreme physical forces. The most intense part of the ride is the initial outdoor launch, which accelerates riders to nearly 60 mph in a matter of seconds. However, unlike some other thrill rides, TRON does not feature any inversions (it does not go upside down) and has no massive drops like those on Expedition Everest. The intensity is unique due to the "lightcycle" seating position, where you lean forward as if riding a motorcycle, which makes the wind and speed feel more pronounced. The ride is notably smooth and relatively short, lasting about two minutes, which many guests find manageable even if they are somewhat sensitive to motion. For those who may find the lightcycle position uncomfortable, the train also features a traditional "sit-down" car at the back for a more standard, albeit still fast, coaster experience.

People Also Ask

There's nothing slow about this ride. If you have a thrill seeker who enjoys speed, Tron will not be too scary for them. One thing to note: it's a relatively short ride that truly only lasts 60 seconds once in motion. So even if Tron turns out to be scary, it should be a very short experience.
