How long do Disney PhotoPass photos last?

Disney PhotoPass photos, dining photos and attraction photos in your account will expire 45 days from the date the photo was taken. If you would like to extend the expiration date to 60 days from the date the photo was taken, you may purchase an Expiration Extension.

In 2026, standard Disney PhotoPass photos (including those from attractions and character meets) will expire and be deleted from your account 45 days after the date the photo was taken. If you realize you need more time to download your memories, you can purchase a one-time Expiration Extension (usually for about $20), which adds an additional 15 days to the clock for a total of 60 days. It is important to note that for Disneyland Magic Key holders (the California annual pass), certain tiers receive a massive perk: their photos remain in their account for 365 days from the capture date. For all other guests, Disney does not offer a permanent storage solution; once that 45-day window closes, the photos are purged from the system forever, so the "pro-tip" is to download them to your personal device as soon as you get home from your vacation.
