Traveling from Disney's Riviera Resort to Disney's Hollywood Studios via the Disney Skyliner is a quick and scenic journey that typically takes about 10 to 12 minutes of actual travel time. Because the Riviera Resort has its own dedicated station on the line that connects EPCOT to the main hub at Caribbean Beach, you must first take a very short 2-minute "hop" to the Caribbean Beach Resort station. Once there, you must disembark and transfer to the Hollywood Studios line. The second leg of the trip from the hub to the Studios entrance takes approximately 5 to 6 minutes. When you factor in the time to walk through the station and the potential for a small wait during morning "rope drop" or park closing, you should budget about 20 to 25 minutes total for the door-to-door experience. In 2026, the Skyliner remains one of the most popular transport methods at Walt Disney World because it provides a continuous "moving" queue, though it is a "pro" tip to remember that it will close temporarily during high winds or lightning for safety.

Transportation at Walt Disney World whether you're waiting for a bus, monorail, boat or gondola, will usually be about 20 minutes when the parks are opening and closing.

How early does the Skyliner open? The operating hours for the gondolas tends to vary depending on what time the parks are opening and closing, but you can typically find them starting from around 7:30 am to 8:30 a.m. and going until 10 or 11 p.m.
