Most of the time the monorail is faster. Unless you catch the boat just as it is ready to leave. We have stayed here a few times the monorail is the easy way to get there with no delays.

You can ride the monorail any time. No Disney tickets even needed. If you took a bus from Disney Springs to Epcot or Magic Kingdom, you could ride from there. If you are driving to the Ticket and Transportation center to go to the magic kingdom and park, then the monorail is one of your options to get to the park.

The entire set of the beam, the bogies, the wheels, etc. is more complex and expensive for a monorail. Monorail requires a lot of stuff around the beam, often made of expensive rare metals, with a lot more maintenance. Monorail beam itself must be built and maintained to high specifications.
The Magic Kingdom doesn't actually have a parking lot. Instead, guests can park at the Transportation and Ticket Center. They can then take either the Walt Disney World Monorail or a ferry boat across the Seven Seas Lagoon to reach the Magic Kingdom. Take the Monorail to Magic Kingdom!
By far the most scenic transportation choice, water taxies and ferries travel between the resort hotels and the theme parks allowing guests a fun experience along with convenient transportation. The Epcot Monorail will not get you any closer. If there is a park-to-park bus, that could work, but I don't see it being any faster. Park at the Magic Kingdom...you aren't saving yourself any time by going to EPCOT.
Magic Kingdom Fireworks are at 9pm on most nights. If there is a special event like Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party the fireworks may be earlier, or may not be scheduled for regular guests visiting that day.

Hollywood Studios is not directly accessible by the Walt Disney World Monorail. Conceivably, a guest could take the Monorail from the TTC to EPCOT, walk across the park to the International Gateway, then either walk or take a Friendship Boat to the Studios, though this would take a long time.
