With so many sites to see at Pearl Harbor, expect lots of walking. Wear comfortable shoes and breathable clothing. Since Pearl Harbor is a memorial, wearing bathing suits and coverups is not recommended. Keep in mind visitors are paying their respects, so you must dress appropriately.

A 10-minute US Navy boat ride over to the USS Arizona Memorial. The duration of the complete program is 1 hour and 15 minutes (23-minute documentary film on the actual attack, 10 minute-boat ride to and from the Memorial and the time spent at the Memorial).
There is no entry fee for the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, and no ticket is required to see the museums. This all made sense for us because we wanted to spend the whole day there, but if you only have a couple hours definitely see the USS Arizona. I'm not a history buff, but I could definitely appreciate the solemn sacrifice made on that day and the memorial is absolutely stunning. This is a must see on the island.
