How long is the light show at Animal Kingdom?

At a Glance Shown several times a night (when the park is open that late), Awakenings combines digital video projections with music and special effects. We've seen four different 3-minute shows; in each, special projection effects make it appear that some animals carved into the tree trunk have come alive.

You will be treated to 30 minutes of a variety of some of Disney's best entertainment in this celebration. You'll hear some of The Lion King's most popular music performed by magnificent singers. Fireworks show: There is not a fireworks show at Animal Kingdom. Rivers of Light show: FP+ This nighttime show on the Discovery River is held each night (weather permitting) and during busy times may be shown twice. Guests view the show from stands located near Expedition Everest.

The park is located on the western edge of the resort and is isolated from the other theme parks and properties to minimize external disruptions to the animals; as a result, the park's former nighttime show did not feature fireworks that would otherwise disturb the animals.
