How long is the show at Animal Kingdom?

You will be treated to 30 minutes of a variety of some of Disney's best entertainment in this celebration. You'll hear some of The Lion King's most popular music performed by magnificent singers. A blaze of color, feathers, beads, fringe and beautiful head-dresses are found in the costumes of the singer and dancers.

At a Glance Shown several times a night (when the park is open that late), Awakenings combines digital video projections with music and special effects. We've seen four different 3-minute shows; in each, special projection effects make it appear that some animals carved into the tree trunk have come alive.

This show is simply wonderful. I go to see it every time I go to Disney World and on my last trip I took my younger sister who is a Nemo and Dory fan and she was blown away! The theatre is spacious and comfortable and a good view can be had from all the seats.

If you have Early Entry and are starting with something other than Avatar Flight of Passage, arrive 15 to 30 minutes before the start of Early Entry. You should expect only a short wait, but your hope is to be off your first ride in time to get on a second ride during Early Entry.

During your first visit(s), you'll want to do as much as you possibly can. On an average day, you can experience all the ride-based attractions in six or seven hours. The rest of your time depends on how much of the Animal Kingdom experience you desire.

The worst day of the week to visit has historically been Monday! Perhaps it's because people expect the weekends to be the busiest, so they go with a weekday instead. Nonetheless, Monday wait times might be a bit higher than you'd want.
