For reasonable service for (say) 2 nights for a couple in a Roomette, we would tip $20. This is probably the most popular option of those above -- though many people just never even think of tipping the attendant.

Re: Superliner Roomette numbers 1 to 10 are upper level (1 is usually reserved for the attendant). 11 to 14 are lower level. Numbers start from the middle of the car and work back--so 1 and 2 are in the center of the car and 9 and 10 are next to the door to the next car.
