To truly appreciate Grindelwald and the surrounding Jungfrau Region, you should plan for at least three full days. A single day is rarely enough because mountain weather is unpredictable; having a multi-day window increases your chances of seeing the Eiger North Face without cloud cover. Day one is typically spent taking the Eiger Express gondola up to Jungfraujoch (The Top of Europe). Day two is perfect for the "First" side of the valley, featuring the Cliff Walk and hiking to Bachalpsee Lake. Day three allows for a trip across the valley to Mürren or Lauterbrunnen. If you are an avid hiker or skier, you could easily spend a week here and never get bored. Staying at least three nights also allows you to experience the village's charm after the day-trippers depart, which is when the alpine glow on the surrounding peaks is most spectacular.
