How to get to Verona city centre from train station?

At the railway station, buses can be taken to the city centre, stopping at Piazza Bra, the central square in which the Arena Amphitheatre is located. The bus routes for reaching the city centre are: 11, 12, 13, 14, 72 and 73.

Getting to the Verona city centre (Piazza Bra and the Arena) from the main station, Verona Porta Nuova, is very straightforward and offers three main options. The most popular for those with light luggage is to walk, which takes about 15 to 20 minutes. You simply exit the station, walk across the piazza, and head straight down the wide, shop-lined Corso Porta Nuova until you reach the ancient city gates. If you prefer the bus, numerous lines (including 11, 12, 13, 72, and 73) depart from the "Marciapiede A" (Platform A) directly outside the station; the ride is less than 5 minutes, and you should disembark at the "Piazza Bra" stop. Tickets can be bought at the station newsstand or via the ATV app. Finally, a taxi is available at the rank directly outside the main exit; it costs roughly €8 to €12 and takes about 3 to 5 minutes depending on traffic. Taxis are the best bet if you are heading to a hotel deeper in the medieval "ZTL" (restricted traffic zone) where buses cannot easily reach.
