Since Disney opted to close Blizzard Beach for summer 2023, we're assuming they'll only have one water park open at a time in the near future. Blizzard Beach got a holiday treatment in 2022 and we expect that to return in 2023.
Blizzard Beach closed for refurbishment beginning March 19, 2023 and Typhoon Lagoon reopened March 19, 2023. Disney has not yet confirmed a reopening date for Blizzard Beach. As discussed in greater detail below, we expect it to reopen around mid-September.

If you have a child between the ages of 5-12, Blizzard Beach is by far the winner in my book. BB's Ski Patrol Training Camp has experiences aimed specifically at the elementary school set that Typhoon Lagoon can't match.
