Is it hard to get a locker at Disney World?

It's easy to rent a locker while at the parks! If paying with cash (U.S. currency) or a major credit card, you may proceed directly to the self-service kiosk to rent a locker. If paying with a MagicBand, MagicBand+ or gift card, please visit the merchandise location nearest to the lockers for assistance.

Generally, it is not hard to get a locker at Walt Disney World, provided you don't wait until the busiest part of the day during a major holiday. Each of the four theme parks has a large locker rental area located just inside the main entrance. In 2026, these are fully automated self-service kiosks that accept credit cards and MagicBand+ for payment. While they operate on a first-come, first-served basis, Disney maintains a high inventory of "Small" and "Large" sizes. The "Jumbo" lockers (available only at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT) are the only ones that truly sell out quickly, as they are used by guests arriving directly from the airport with carry-on luggage. To ensure you get a locker, it is best to head there immediately after "rope dropping" the park. Even on moderately busy days, lockers remain available well into the afternoon. However, if you are visiting during peak weeks like Christmas or Spring Break, those near the entrance can fill up by noon; in such cases, checking the locker stations at the water parks (Typhoon Lagoon/Blizzard Beach) is a different story, as those are in much higher demand for storing dry clothes.
