Is Playa Blanca warmer than Costa Teguise?

PB is on the Southern tip of Lanzarote and sheltered by the Ajache mountain range. Consequently, it has the best climate on the island and is usually warmer and less windy than Costa Teguise.

Although the temperatures are fairly constant throughout the island, the north tends to get more wind, which may make it seem cooler. Costa Teguise is usually windier than Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca and out of the three, Playa Blanca may have the best weather in January and in winter in general.

Playa Blanca is slightly warmer than the other resorts as well. I've stayed in the three main resorts over the years, but I don't like PDC or CT. Everyone wants and likes different things, so it all depends what you want out of your time on the island.

Puerto del Carmen has the busiest vibe and that incredible long Strip. Costa Teguise has a more laid back, surfy feel, and feels more Spanish, as well as being more compact. Playa Blanca is quieter than either and feels a little more upmarket, but it's very spread out.

Costa Teguise has over 3000 hours of sunshine per year, so you're pretty much guaranteed great weather no matter when you visit. The skies are clear all summer and you shouldn't expect any rain until October, which has an average rainfall of 10mm.
