Puerto del Carmen has the busiest vibe and that incredible long Strip. Costa Teguise has a more laid back, surfy feel, and feels more Spanish, as well as being more compact. Playa Blanca is quieter than either and feels a little more upmarket, but it's very spread out.

And if you wonder which is the warmest side of Lanzarote, the answer is always south. Head to the southern part of the island for warmer weather as coasts are sheltered from the winds. Contrarily, the northern part of Lanzarote is usually a bit colder and cloudier due to the trade winds.

All of which were created by local artist César Manrique, whose former home and studio is also just a ten minute drive away in Tahiche.
